Hi, I'm Carrie!
I have been a Registered Nurse since 2009 and am passionate about all things related to health, wellness, cooking, healthy eating, and the local food movement. I love cooking and preparing delicious food for family, friends, and of course, my wonderful health coaching clients! Through my years taking care of patients in the hospital setting and also working in the functional medicine field, I have become an advocate for using food as medicine and addressing lifestyle behaviors that contribute to poor health. Seeing so many people suffering from preventable chronic diseases that are the result of poor dietary and lifestyle choices motivated me to go back to school and become a Certified Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
You might be asking yourself, "What is a health coach?" Put simply, a Health Coach is a wellness authority and supportive mentor that helps individuals make positive health choices by providing accountability, education, and support. I encourage, educate, and empower my clients to achieve their personal health goals through lifestyle adjustments and improved cooking and eating habits. I love to create community built around healthy eating, cooking, and lifestyle habits so I host fun interactive health workshops and cooking classes on a monthly basis that are free to all of my health coaching clients.
